Rum
Rum (probably derived from the English dialect word rumbullion 'a drink made from boiled sugar cane stalks'[1] or rumbustion 'riot', 'tumult'[2]) is an alcoholic beverage. It is obtained from sugar cane molasses, more rarely from fresh sugar cane juice. Modified products are rum blend and Inländer rum. The minimum alcohol content is 37.5 percent by volume.[3][4] Rum is produced in the Caribbean, Central America, South America, the Philippines, Australia, Madagascar, Mauritius, India, Réunion, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and some other countries.
